PRODEV is a program which finds the optimal scheduling of testing tasks in the new product development process of an agricultural chemical or a pharmaceutical company.

There are two models for PRODEV.

PRODEV, the original model, is limited to one product and is based on the MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Program) developed by Craig Schmidt and Ignacio Grossmann described in the paper 'Optimization Models for the Scheduling of Testing Tasks in New Product Development', (1996).

RESOURCE CONSTRAINED PRODEV has th ability of dealing with several products to be tested at at time; it is based on the MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Program) developed by Christos T. Maravelias and Ignacio E. Grossmann described in the paper 'Simultaneous Planning for New Product Development and Batch Manufacturing Facilities' (2004).
