BATCHMPC is a program for optimizing design of multiproduct batch plants
using the MILP model developed by Vouduoris and Grossmann (1990). This model
involves cyclic scheduling, inventories and standard unit sizes.
The following assumptions are considered:
1. No units in parallel.
2. Processing sequence is uniform for all products.
3. Batch processing time is independent of batch sizes.
BATCHMPC has been developed by Gabriela Garcia-Ayala under the supervision of
Ignacio E.Grossmann and is based on the paper by Voudouris & Grossmann
"Mixed-Integer
Linear Programming Models for the Optimal Design of Batch Processes", Ind. Eng. Chem.
