BATCHMPC is a program for optimizing design of multiproduct batch plants using the MILP model developed by Vouduoris and Grossmann (1990). This model involves cyclic scheduling, inventories and standard unit sizes.
| The | following assumptions are considered: |
| 1. No units in parallel. | |
| 2. Processing sequence is uniform for all products. | |
| 3. Batch processing time is independent of batch sizes. |
BATCHMPC has been developed by Gabriela Garcia-Ayala under the supervision of Ignacio E.Grossmann and is based on the paper by Voudouris & Grossmann "Mixed-Integer Linear Programming Models for the Optimal Design of Batch Processes", Ind. Eng. Chem. Research, 31, 1315-1325 (1992) .
